Well, you definitely found a colorful species to photograph. Looks more like a cricket than a grasshopper, but I'm no expert. I would suggest you not center this subject. If you have the room on the original shot try some different crops to achieve a more interesting composition. Keep shooting.

never seen a cricket colored quite like that...and i agree with ImgPro, i think it would look better if the little guy were in the bottom left hand corner of the frame...my $0.02
