I posted the last shot as an example as why you should shoot in raw. Sometimes I forget to check my settings. I was shooting a cormorant before this and cranked my EC to +1.7 trying to get some feather detail. Of course I forgot to turn it back. I had enough light that this shot should have been at 1/500th sec. Because of my error it was only at 1/160th. It is not as sharp as I would normally post. I ended up with a panning effect. Because I shot it in raw I could dial back my exposure and still get an ok image...
