Yes, I was quite shocked the first time I saw this bird in such an urban area. I was even more surprised when I discovered that she'd nested there too.

this is really great! i have tried to capture one of these...but every time i stop to do just that, it flies... wonderful shot!!

I was trying to creep up one one yesterday, and it saw me from about 100 yrds, and was gonzzo!! Love this shot, nice composition, and colours

This one was quite timid at first but over the past month or so she's got quite tolerant to the point where she'll practically ignore you on a quiet day.

I've seen some of these birds in Grand Union Canal

Very nice. I like this one.
I have found these birds are like crows. Ya can not get with in a football field of them, and their gone.

Ah crows... I've come to recognise two types of crow:

The Wild Crow: Hangs around more natural areas like fields, lakes, rivers, etc. Can't get within 50 feet of 'em.

The Urban Crow: Hangs around streets, cafes or anywhere they're likely to find titbits left by the Human folk. Approachable to within 15-20 feet.

The trouble is, everytime I see a good 'Urban Crow' shot, my camera seems to be in the bag.
