Thanks! They are my favorites too. This is a new site I have found, but isn't a safe one. Don't know how much I will visit. It's a tough choice because I really love watching these birds!

Thank you. No, guns are not the issue. This site is a low lying swampy area that sits right alongside of a narrow road. There is a curve very close to it and the people cannot see if you are there. The land is posted " No Trespassing ", so the only available place to photograph them is from the road mostly. There is maybe a 2 foot easement between the side of the road and the water, so you have very little room to stand as the cars pass when you hear them coming. You have to hope they don't have mirrors that stick out far lol.

That is the one that reminds me of some of Keith Richards' photos from his elder years lol.

Fantastic shots. I have only seen one flying and had no chance to catch it. I hear there are a few more around but have not seen them. I long to get a shot of one. Thank you for posting these, they are a lovely bird.
