Comfrey growing wild - a medicinal herb but a challenge for any electric razor!

Nice images - like the first one best, but they both seem a little dark for some reason. When you say that it is a "medicinal herb", what is it used for - just curious. Also curious if the "fuzzy" part are seed pods, or are they the flower before it opens up?
