HALOS USING TELEPHOTO LENS AT NIGHT

Do you happen to have a cheap, store-brand "protective filter" on the lens? My guess is you do!

Derrel, not to high jack his thread ,but would you consider rocketfish cheap?

Rocketfish? I think they are on more or less equal footing with Rokinon, Albinar, Vemar, Spastic Colon, Spearfish, Rheumatoid,Diptheria,Chick-n-Pox, Kensuky Tried Hicken, and a few other turd-party filters...

Sorry to kid around with you...but I have never heard of Rocketfish filters, but it sounds like what a Chinese middleman might think an American might think was a cool name for a filter.

No it's alright. I'm not going to get mad lol. I got a 67mm rocketfish I got from best buy, and then I got another CPL and UV filters from Ritz camera and it's a 'Tristar optics'

Yes Rocketfish is cheap...pretty much any filter you find at Best Buy is not going to be of any quality. Most companies who sell cell phone chargers (mine is a rocketfish), and lens optics are just chinese importers with some branding on them.
