Happy Spring!!!

The vernal equinox has passed us by and no celebration here at TPF? I say yay for spring! The sun is returning, the flowers are blooming, the trees are putting on their green coats for another year of color. It is wonderful! And I can't wait for Daylight Savings Time! I usually don't care and actually think the whole time shifting thing is kind of dumb, but now that I have a yard to work on, and it's always dark before I get home, I long for some extra hours so I can get stuff done! So an extra hour added to longer days hopefully means progress for me. And more time to take photos! (Ok less time to take night photos, but that's what winter is for, right?

)

Happy belated equinox, everyone! What are your plans for this year?

And Happy Autumn to my south hemis!

Happy Spring, Orie! I love to mark the changing seasons.

I would absolutely have been here wishing you and TPF a happy first day of spring, but from home I've been unable to access the forum sinec Chase moved the server. It's actually kind of freaky that I'm posting in this forum from home right now; haven't been able to open anything for a couple weeks from this oc, but I usually try it anyway.

It must be the Spring Goddess bringing me luck. :cheer: Well. Assuming there is one.

Atlanta had an amazing first day of Spring....80 degrees, sunny....woke up to 32 degrees this AM, though - it was just a tease.

But now, at least, it's a cold spring day, not a cold winter day!

I went out and played some soccer outside in 29F and driving snow here in Indiana on the first day of "spring". Shyeahhh right. Spring they says. :?

still snow on the ground here, but at least the sidewalks and driveway are clear of ice. no more ice on the river, but still some on the ponds, melting fast. can't see my breath during the day- yup, must be spring here, too.

What is the "spring" you talk of. I know not of it. Up here you have two, maybe three seasons. Winter, Breakup (if you count it) and Road Construction. There is no fall or spring, just yeah..

Someone forgot to schedule Spring this year in Arizona. We went from cold and rainy to record setting temps approaching 100degF. Even the natives that don't mind the heat as much are complaining this time though as there is usually the month or two of perfect sunny days in the 70's that prepares of for the summer. This time no one gave warning and we were caught off guard. I think city council got together and ordered a little spring time for us though. FedEx should have it here by this weekend they said............
