BTW, is "the Perishers" cartoon still active?
If I remember correctly Wellington's birthday was St. Georges day and he always made a pitch for presents or some sort of largesse.

I know it wasn't the "Daily Mirror" and you can guess why, I think it was that wonderful one with the page 3 picture but the name escapes me.

Yeah it could've been the Sun but was there another one "Daily Mail" maybe?
Obviously I remember the "Sun" but what male wouldn't?
Been a long time, 25 years in fact.

Trust me if it was 25 years ago it would've definately been the sun. There's another tabloid of the same ilk now. It's called the daily Star. And there's one called the Sport, which has nothing to do with sport. Well not that kind of sport if you catch my drift.

Thanks again Darren but I'm confusing things, what I was trying to say was that "The Perishers" cartoon was probably in the "Daily Mail" but I distinctly remember "The Sun" paper because of its page 3.
BTW, I'd never heard of "The Sport" until now.
Haven't even visited the UK since 1986 and then it was only for a couple of days (business trip) but I might make it back this year for Moms (Mums) 80th birthday so Mom, me, Bro' and Sis can all be together at the same time for the first time in 25 years.

Mom lives in Gt. Yarmouth in Norfolk which is probably a fair distance from you since I believe you live in the North of England but maybe we could meet somewhere?
