I think the portraits would be beautiful but the blur in the foreground is very distracting. Interesting backgrounds on the others.

I'd say great job for only being a year deep! Agree with the blur comment, you don't have to necessarily not have any blurred foreground, but when it takes up more in the frame than the subject it does become distracting.

Thank you for your C&C, previously I have shot some natural portraits with no foreground but slowly I want to try out new technique to mix thing up a bit

These are nice.. but I agree the blur is a bit overdone in the 2nd set.

I like #1 and #3 but with #3 remove the polls from the top of their heads and the shot will improve lots.
