HDR Image for critique please

Took this image the other day, and I'm looking for a little critique. Did I over do the HDR?

looks aite... borderline fakey hdr type...

horizon looks like a half degree tilted to the left but i might be wrong

why are the tops of the trees so dark?

Thank you syphlix. I was thinking it was borderline fake too. Not sure why the trees are dark on top. I didn't notice it until now.

i feel like the dark black clouds and the dark water create a natural frame for the vibrant colors of the middle...
