Hi there,
I switched my Lightroom and Photoshop to the latest version (subscription) and now wonder if I should buy Photomatix Pro (got the trial).
I'm doing a lot of Airshow photography where it isn't possible to capture multiple exposures since the jets are moving.
I now wondered what the best options are for this task, my goal is mainly to do HDR with as little noise as possible.
But I have a few questions:
- Could not find out how to do single file HDR with LR and PS only (edit in photoshop, merge to hdr pro)
- When exporting to Photomatix Pro I can select output format: 16 Bit TIFF at max - I thought we are supposed to use 32 bit? Confused...
- Should I buy photomatix, or stick with LR and PS only?
- What's the "ideal way" to use LR and Photomatix PRO with the latest versions? How should I export etc?
Here is a sample, rather problematic file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/311345/IMG_3052.CR2
Since it's rather dark, contains a lot of noise.
Thanks a lot for any suggestions!
Christoph
