Well, like was said in the other thread, it really boils down to your budget. The better camera is the better camera, but a better camera with a crappy lens is worse than a good camera with a good lens.

If you can afford the 5DMkII and some L glass, then do it. If not, figure out how to balance your camera/lens setup based on your budget.

The camera is great for weddings. But is the photographer? That's really the more important question. Getting a 7D or a 5D2 does not make a wedding photographer.
