Finally stepped up to my first DSLR and I want to get this right. I bought the Canon Rebel XS as my first step.

Tooting my own horn - I've owned quite a few sub-$500 Kodak digital cameras. I like macro work, and portraits. I currently work in Photoshop CS4, since version 3 back in the 90's. I like to build web sites and make goofy pictures.
