Hi everyone!

This is my first post to this forum. I have been out of photography for a looooong time. I need help with cameras. Really. When I last was heavily into photography, I was shooting film. I had an F100. I adored that camera (still do, but I want a digital camera). help? :mrgreen:

Which, neither are bad options. I'm just expecting them to be out of your price range.

go the whole hog with the 1Dx or the D4...and everyone will wish that they were you

Do you have nikon lenses still? if you do i would recommend a d7000, its about $1200 without a lens but will offer full function with all nikon lenses, except a few manual lenses from very very early film days. if you've got less budget and no lenses the d5100 and d3100 are quite nice too. Honestly it all depends on your budget, there is no dog in the current nikon lineup, all amazing dslrs.
