Help! Burning photos to DVD.

I just tried burning my photos to a DVD and when I look at the file size, they are only about 164 Kb on the disc. How do I make them the same size as they are on my computer?

Let folks know the software you are doing this with etc. , I would say it is a setting in the save method. If you get a window that shows the file size being saved that is where the problem is. Change the setting. (sounds like it is set for web images).

I am using photoshop elements and saving as a JPEG file with the average size of 3mb. Only when I try to transfer them from my saved location it shows them as being only around 167 kb. My DVD is 4.7 gb, so it has plenty of room. Not sure if there is a way to burn directly from Photoshop.

What software are you using to burn the disks? The file size shouldn't change...

167kB is pretty small for an image file ... like maybe that's just the thumbnail of it...

When you try to open the files you have already burned to DVD, are they of the same quality as the version saved to your hard drive?

Which operating system are you running on your computer?
