Help for a Newbie?

I'm relatively new to the world of photography. I got my Nikon d3100 in October, and I instantly fell in love. I own the kit lens, and also a 55/200mm. I also have a tripod used for light-painting and shooting during sporting events. I was wondering if anyone could check out my flickr, critique what you don't like and tell me what you do. I don't get too too many opportunities to leave my current environment for shots, because I am 15 and unable to drive. I was also wondering if anyone could give me ideas for shots of the beach and boardwalk because I will be going on vacation next week to Rehoboth DE. Thank you so much.

I also have no idea when it comes to ISO and I know a little bit about shutter speed. Any help you can direct me to that is understandable would be great ^_^

I really like your pics! I would say maybe play with your editing software. You should watch some of Snapchick videos on YouTube. She is really good at explaining in simple English.

I really like "the thinker". Try not to cut off the tops of heads in portraits unless you really cut it off and do a tight crop on the face. Your photo looks unintentional. Keep shooting!

Do a Flickr/google search for beach/boardwalk shots to find some inspiration.

Have fun at Rehobeth! It's been a while but I spent a couple months there back when I turned 18. Loved it!
