Help! - Looking to find out how to edit pics to look like this...

So I was searching online and I found a portfolio by a guy named Schwabel. He's at schwabelstudio.com and I was wondering how to create some of the looks he has achieved. I further did a search for profoto lighting on ebay and found this article for sale linked to the search...

Photoshop retouching tutorial,Profoto & Alien Bees used | eBay was wondering if anyone knew how to create that look. And if so, could they help me find an online FREE tutorial. I'm kind of strapped and very hungry for knowledge!

Any advice would be awesome.

It's all down to lighting, do you have any studio lights ?

No studio lights yet. I was wondering if it's possible and how to do that effect in Photoshop. The guy selling the info on ebay is basically just selling the psd files. I dont want to pay for psd files. That just sounds ridiculous. I'd like to know how to actually do it myself. And I did check out the dual lights that Schwabel was using. I'll definitely be getting those soon. I want to start shooting portraiture more cinematic quality photos.
