Help me shop?

I don't really know where to see the lenses? I also don't really know enough of the lingo to be comfortable selling and guarentee the condition etc.

900 is getting closer to better glass such as sigma 70-200 f2.8 OS and a host of other nice lenses

Go all the way and get the 70-200 f/2.8 VR II
Buy it good buy it once.

I'm already in college for a photo tech degree So far, the worst money ever spent. But at least I'm not paying for it.

(To clarify, last year all we had were adjuncts who literally just emailed us youtube links and read photoshop for dummies WHILE trying to teach us photoshop techniques. Awful.)

How about taking that money and going on a vacation.
If you must buy gear, I would say the 105/2.8 VR

Don't spend it on camera gear, spend it on Photography classes. Some of the best money I've spent.

Or just get a couple good books and read things online. Why waste money on a class?
