I would buy a used D810 and then sell it again right after the trip and then order the D850 (If I had your budget ^^)

I thought about that but then my worry is that the trade in prices of the D810 will tank once the new ones hit the market then is lose a ton.

I'll either order the 850 and suffer through with the 3300 or just buy the 810 and hope I'm happy with it. Although if I go through amazon and I don't Iike the 810 I can return it I guess
