Help! My first family portrait shoot...

I will be photographing my cousins family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) I'm using my canon prime lens (50m/f1.8) and taking outdoor shots. How do i set my camera to ensure that all subjects are in tack sharp focus? any suggestions will help!

lol increase your f-stop number imo
