help on adjusting pictures, anyone good with photoshop?

Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone could help me on these two pictures? cropping or whatever you have to do, if you can get them to look better I would really appreciate it Thanks! :mrgreen:

First, converted the 8 bit JPG to a 16 bit TIF.

Cropped this to cut out bright background light, so the focus would be on the tiger and it puts his face into the most important area of the image. Darkened the background behind him to put focus on him. Adjusted the contrast in his head and back. Brightened his eyes bringing out the color... The bright area on his back is "blown" without any detail so added a little bit of color so it matches the color in other areas... Finally did a bit of sharpening to finish.

Then, converted it back to a JPG.


Did about the same with the Yellow Tiger. But he had his eyes closed.

You have got to be kidding! how did you do that? My wife can't believe it either, what a difference and the eyes on TJ who's in the pool, amazing! I really do appreciate this!
