Help! Which mirrorless camera to choose?!

Hey!

I'm a beginning photographer and I'm just shooting for fun. I know how to do the settings manually and I think it's important that there are enough (affordable) lenses available. At the moment I'm traveling the world and that's why I want to buy a mirrorless and not a DSLR.

I've been looking a lot on the internet and for now I'm doubting between the Fujifilm X-T10, Fujifilm X-E2(S) and the Sony A6000.

Is there anyone that can give me some advice. If you have any other recommendations, please let me know, so I can look into it

Get the Fuji. I also recommend looking at the OMD EM10 mk 2

Well, if I was forced to pick up mirrorless as a general camera, right now I would definitely choose Fuji.

They still have some weaknesses - AF, flash, the issues to demosaic x-trans - but they have great repair service, good interface, excellent optics, really good sensors too, and they are working on fixing their weaknesses, too, AF is already pretty close to the competition, flash is coming this year, and well x-trans you'll have to blame Adobe for them still not being too great with x-trans in Lightroom/Photoshop, but theres alternative products which are better (in fact most are better than Adobe).

Their only real drawback is that their lenses are excellent but also pricey; though they are worth every penny.

Sony is no option at all because you're not even allowed to clean the sensor. In a mirrorless !!! Which is more likely to collect dirt than a DSLR.

And they dont repair their own cameras, which means their contractors can take ages for repair - and are outrighteously expensive, even for something simple as sensor cleaning.

But overall no, I'm very unlikely to switch to mirrorless. For starters, all mirrorless are TINY and I simply have trouble holding them.

They also require a lot of current for their EVFs - which means you can get only like 300 shots or so out of a battery. My D750 is currently at about 700 shots on the current battery and I still have plenty power left.

But if Fuji releases the medium format system they are rumored to work on and if its a mirrorless system camera, I will definitely be interested. Thanks to the large sensor, the camera cant be as tiny, and thanks to the massive knowhow Fuji has now thanks to the X system, such a camera should also rock. I wouldnt want this as my new main system, though. It will be a specialist I would use whenever excessive image quality is demanded. I just hope I'll be able to actually afford it.

I think most people use mirrorless cameras for the smaller size

I have evolved from FF dSLR (1D's) to mirrorless MFT (Oly EM5's/EM1's) and now to mirrorless APS-C (X100S, XE2, XT1's, XP1, XP2). Presently I have three complete systems, FF, MFT and APS-C, and the FF and MFT are just collecting dust. Fuji is not cheap, it is a niche camera ... a manual shooters camera, a sexy-retro looking camera with a great sensor and even greater lenses. Because it is in a niche market, the system is not as expansive as a Nikon/Canon dSLR or the older and shared MFT mounts. But it is coming along and for most non-pro photogs the existing system will satisfy most if not all of their needs/requirements/desires. Remember that all cameras are compromises and any design sacrifices this for that or that for this. For me, for what I shoot and how I shoot, I find the Fuji to be a wonderful compromise between the small footprint of MFT and the high IQ of FF.

Depends which mirrorless, today some of the mirrorless isnt so small and some of the DSLR is getting smaller, like the Canon SL1 and Nikon D5500.
You can get mirrorless for small size but not all are small.

I appreciate your concern for my welfare, but I am slowly parting it out to a daughter.

I don't know the "best" mirrorless out there, but I bought December, with the kit lens, and I love it. The focusing is incredibly fast, the whole thing with kit lens weighs just one pound (per the scale in the Whole Foods fruit department) and the sensor allows for lots of cropping. It can shoot 11 frames/second, and I really like the way it shoots black and white. Also, the viewfinder is very good. I don't know if price is much of a consideration for you, but there seem to be very good buys right now because of the a6300 being introduced. (It is one hundreth of a second faster on focus . . .) I know some other members purchased an a6000 in the last year, and hope they will share their experiences.
