Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I took a photograph while I was walking through Birmingham, and I didn't have a tripod with me so I had to use flash in order to steady the image.

The rest of the photograph worked out for me, but the walk way/wall at the bottom is over exposed due to the flash.

I tried highlighting that part of the photograph, and adjusting the brightness etc... but I can't make it look better.

Help please?

I will send the larger image if you like, I just resized it for the forum.

It's not blown out, so you shouldn't have too much trouble making the foreground darker. What software do you have?

Also, your flash probably didn't help to 'steady the image' very much because most of the photo is likely beyond the reach of your flash. You would have been better to keep the camera steady by putting it on the wall or against something solid.

I took the photo a few times without flash and it was just blurry as if I had it set to a slow shutter speed, but I didn't.
And the wall was rounded there was nothing else to put the camera on unfortunately.

I have photoshop, but at the minute i'm not overly great at using it.

It was such a small photo i didn't have much to work with, but here ya go.

Used lr3 to select certain areas, then adjusted brightness and exposure levels.

In Photoshop, just use the burn tool and darken the wall.

try out the PhotoMania application in facebook.
it can help...

NO ITS DOESNT HELP. then what? it saves the picture to facebook with a crappy **** quality? Garbage for sisies.

I know somebody has already done it. They did it fairly well too. I just wanted to have a go at it. Try better composition next time. It would have been great to have just water in that bottom section!

Unfortunately, no matter where I stood, I couldn't get a shot without the wall in the way.

Thank you for all of the help!

The flash used should match, and the picture looks very shaky, Well tried.
