I don't know how to set my flash settings. I have the SB-600. Do the settings have to match with the exposure settings of camera?

I dont quite get what you're trying to ask but to make things easy Just set the sb-600 on TTL mode. setting the sb-600 on TTL mode is like setting your camera on AUTO.

Did you get an users manual with the SB-600?

Using iTTL can give you inconsistant results, because the camera and speedlight don't really know what you are trying to make a photo of.

1. Read the manual that came with your flash.

2. Read the manual that came with your camera.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2.

4. Google "Nikon CLS"

im in the same boat. Im reading my manual constantly and i am still lost. Good luck my man.

Nikon Manuals suck monkey junk. If you want a book that teaches you how to use any of Nikons speedlights I recommend Mike Hagens The Nikon Creative Lighting System. It has instructions and examples and simple to understand explanations on most popular Nikon Cameras and all the speedlights. Minus the newly introduced SB700.

I know exactly how you can address that issue.

But have recently decided to use as much effort to help those forum members that don't take the time to use proper puctuation or the appropriate capital letters, as they use when they post. :lmao:

Good luck my man.
