Help With Ownuser Batterygrip BH-51IR

Hello

I Just Got my Ownuser BH-51R in the mail today; but i think it's defective, WHEN in ON Position & USB Cable Plugged on the cam and batteries are fully charged and sometimes it turns off ; the display on my cam turns off; i cant adjust setting on the camera; focus really late; it even turns off in the middle of a shutter; ruining the photo; and then the displays CF Error!;when i unplug the usb cable all seems to return to nomar; camera works just great; but shutter buttons dont work! i'm sure this is not right; i didn't pay more than $100 for a Battery holder i want my buttons to work!

any tips/help will be much appreciated !

BTW i tested the cam in normal & 0s remote and it still does the same
