Help with snake photo please.

Was hoping I could find someone who could lighten this photo up a little. I am unable to do so myself as I have limited resources at this time.

I could lighten the snake but it looks fine to me.........

Oh so lighting looks accurate? This monitor appears as if it is too dark. This monitor may not be set correctly....

The histogram looks great. You may need to have the black and white points set to increase the contrast, however.

Since you asked for suggestions, I think you should crop it some. Here is how I would crop it. Other adjustments were minimal. A little increase in clarity and contrast. The stem in front of the snake is a little distracting
