Could this work with SC? Too cliché? Does it add to the photo here? Or should I delete it and don't worry about SC?
Since so many people don't like it, I'd taken it as a challenge to get a good SC image.

I thought maybe it could add some sort of nice emotion to an otherwise sad place. The gravestone was very beautiful, and no, I don't know whose it is. It felt sort of wrong taking the photo, but it was so nicely lit. I wish I didn't get that other gravestone in the back growing out of the subject. Very annoying. Probably could have darkened it, though...

Actually, I really enjoy the warm lighting coming from the back of this photo. I think the b&w and SC takes away more than it adds to the emotion of the photograph. Nice composition and lighting on the original though.

In 99% of the cases, selective coloring sucks. Welcome to the majority.

Nothing sings here, nothing catches my interest, color or B&W..

C&C per req: I agree that the full colour version is the stronger one of the set. I think you may have missed somewhat on the strength of emotion that you were after by including too much dark area around the main subject. I think a tighter crop would help a lot.

Ohh, my intent was to have it pretty dark around the subject to make you feel it was dark there (which it was) and that the light lit the grave. But I suppose I failed, lol :P Thanks anyway, back to the work desk for me, then!

Photos deleted due to being inappropriate. Name and picture was clearly visible on the stone.
