Heron (Missed the Money Shot)

Watched this one on the opposite bank of the river. He was stalking along, pausing every now and again and moving on. Between shots one and two he had dived in to the water, snatched and swallowed a fish and casually strolled off up stream. I wasn't expecting him to dive off the bank and missed the fish grab.

another great series. don't you love it when the wildlife knows exactly when you take the camera away from your eye or adjust settings and use that time to do the coolest thing ever. stupid wildlife.

Very nice set, Bubba. I like #2 best for the light, it has a little more pop to it than #3 and I really like the goldish colors in the water.
