Hertz says goodbye

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You and your family will be in our prayers and thoughts.

Oh, my dear!
Dear-o-dear.
I am soooo sorry.
This is so sad.
And here I am, being so happy that my sister (who you know) made it through her heart attack last Thursday all right, now all we have to hope for is that she will get out of that huge haematoma that the doctor produced in her leg (the catheter was pushed in there in her groin) won't do her any harm in the longer run (about 1 1/2 litres of blood flowed both out of the re-opened wound into her ICU bed and into her leg, which looks black now).

Aw, Hertz.
I am sorry.

Words can not express how sorry I am! Love and prayers to you and your family! :hugs:

Thank you one and all.
She leaves a husband and a daughter.
We were there with my mother most of yesterday evening keeping the vigil.
My sister had been battling liver cancer for the best part of a year. Kemo hadn't worked and there were no other options.
It took about 4 days...

If you think I'm wild and strange you should have seen the two of us together at parties - and she organised some of the best. We were a formidable team in pub quizzes, charades and pass-the-parcel.
I remember one long, hot Summer afternoon when we endeavoured to mix the perfect Pimm's.... it involved a lot of taste-testing and uncontrollable giggling....

A typical evening out with some friends.
Gina is the blonde.
I was dressed as a school-master

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss, my thoughts are with you and your family. I have a candle burning for Gina now.:hugs:

It sounds like you have a lot of great memories of her. I'm so sorry for your loss, but I'm glad you could be there with her at the end. :hugs:

my condolences Hertz

Again, thank you everyone.
Grief and loss are lonely and personal feelings, but it helps more than you all know to find that I am surrounded by friends.
