Hi everybody,i am new to the forum and to digital photo.I used to buy,process and print my B&W pictures untill it came unaffordable,so i stopped.
It's been eight years from then till now,so a complete restart with different tecnology.
I have posted some photos in

,and would apreciate any comments any one would bother to post about it.
It seems to me i am lacking definition,bad use of lens or wrong parameters?
Please feel free to edit and correct,as well as comment about.
The photos where taken whith my new Nikon D90 and old Sigma 70-300 1:4-5.6 D DL Macro super.
Help needed,please.

i was hoping for some comments to the photos i have posted,in order to be able to improve my technique,but i got none.Perharps hopping for too much as a beginner,so i will try to post them elsewhere to see if it gets nore visible.Thanks any way

While these pictures are reasonably framed, the big problem is the exposure.
In this picture below, you are shooting at a shutter speed that is much too low for that focal length and at too small an aperture (f11) than needed for adequate depth of field.
I suggest that you will improve your technique greatly if you read a bit on the exposure triangle (ISO, shutter speed, aperture) and how to manage for best results at various focal lengths.

There are several good references in this sticky.

This picture below is too low in contrast, has lots of noise and a bit of motion blur; it can be improved but not a great deal.
But you can do better with just a bit of knowledge.
