High key portrait practice...

Almost.

The camera club's monthly challenge this month is "high key" so I met up with a a couple of guys at the studio to see what we could come up with. As usual when the good ideas club has a meeting, things quickly devolved, and while neither of these are actually high key, they're close, and I I quite liked the way they turned out. As usual, thoughts, critique and suggestions appreciated.

Love #1. Strong image of him, with great detail captured.

My only critique is that I'm not really a fan of the visible wrinkles in the backdrop, and I would have either removed them in post or brought the background exposure up a bit to eliminate them.

Pretty awesome. Man I wish I could do portraits like that. I need to find a willing adult to practice on. When I lived in Detroit, it would have been easy because I knew so many people. Out here in the wife's territory, not so much. I have a couple friends who are farmers but they have no interest in helping me.

Thanks, and good points. Honestly, since this was just a practice session for our photo club I didn't put as much effort into some things as I should have.

"Model Mayhem" a site which caters to all levels of photographers, models, MUAs, etc. Create an account, and advertise. The vast majority of people are amateurs and hobbyists and work TF* (Trade-for).
