Holga Thread (its not about the body, but the LENS!) post up

Ok, I've discovered it can be a little soft and has some "very very slight and unpredictable" vignetting under bright studio lighting

I like your model... is she available?

Yeah, her name is Barbie. She's a friend of my granddaughters. No matter how I post process her, she looks plasticky. But she is the MOST COOPERATIVE model I've yet to shoot =)

She's available!

Non-Holga views of her:

 Good luck. Funny enough, I did a small photo project about 10 years ago with a Holga when I was in school, and me and my instructor were raving about how I got a really "sharp" copy and it didn't look like I shot with a Holga.
ETA: He was repulsed by them and I was just poor and couldn't afford a real camera to shoot 120.

Sweet! I would let her walk all over me with those shoes! ;) I think I knew a Barbie about forty years ago.. (friend of my sister).. but she looked a lot more demure than this Barbie... girl next door type, ya know?

Same pic with some grain and B&W effects added in.... I'm almost ready to try this gig on a human model (as an extra shot or two after the shoot!)

I'm confused, Holga Suggestion 8(d) states: "ALWAYS try to shoot a picture in a direction with the sun or light source behind the camera"!?

You get more cute "Flare" that way, darling! ;) Gotta have "Flair" to be a hipster! :lmao:

How are you going to catch Flare with the sun behind the camera?

It has way more vignetting than I thought it would, I was looking at buying that a couple weeks ago :er:

Don't let that stop you. You can see where its happening when you shoot - avoid that area and then crop it out in post =)
