After his 9th cup of coffee, peeb began to wonder if simply making a full pot of coffee might have been superior to individual pods...

The pods are fresher, but more expensive.

Now I have to ask; is that your coffee cup on top?

And do you like it?

I would not like to use a plain glass cup. But then I am a mug connoisseur.

And speaking of holiday; I am preparing to cook a Boston butt in my smoker grill. What do you have planned for the rest of the day? Going to buy more coffee pods?

The cup is on top- a non-BPA acrylic mug that I picked up on Amazon.com for 2 reasons:

1) doesn't get too hot in the hand;
2) won't shatter like glass.

I like it, but it doesn't keep coffee hot as long as a proper mug.

I too have gone from a 3 pot life to a 2 pod life

I still like the 12 cup drip coffee maker with the "steal a cup" feature. I can turn it on wait for the 1st cup to accumulate, to fill my cup. That 1st cup is the potent stuff, like a double shot of caffeine, once it hits the blood stream I can finish off the pot of regular strength.
