Holy Duck! and others

I was standing by this tiny "pond" at a nature center. It's not a pond at all, but more like a 8 foot diameter bird bath about 6" deep. This freaking duck came tearing out of no where, landed on the pond, quacked at me a few times and took off like a bat out of hell. I went back to snapping a few songbirds playing in the water and 5 minutes later this duck came whipping back in, but I was ready! Not sure if I can do much better with a DIF... comments welcome

1 I just took my teleconverter off and oops I was at F8, but my SS was 1/1600th..

I went to a real pond looking for the Little Blue Heron and like he knew I was there he came flying in and landed right near me (bird whisperer like, lol)

Nah, I bow to Danny, he is all Manual Focus. A BIF-off sounds pretty funny

Gees, that first shot is bang on the money. Sure wish that was mine. The Wren, man that is a beautiful little bird Kris, wonderful details. Amazing colours in your Heron's, magic.
