So I decided to be my own model. The shadow on the face was on purpose. I had a SB600 mounted high directly above the camera. The shot was 1/250th of a second f3.5. ISO 400.

I don't follow sports but did the Reds lose some series or whatever? That's what I think when looking at this...

Dunno how your equipment/finances are, but I would use another flash to get rid of the shadow behind your head - it interferes with the halo effect that the flash you're using right now creates. Also create a little more space to the sides to add to the sad feeling - isolation.
