We have a few bird shooters around here, and one of the things I love is being able to see species that we don't have around here. Birds are rather regional which is why I post some of mine, whether I get comments or not, because I feel that people in other parts of the world might get a kick out of seeing some that aren't local to their area.

CostalConn posts a lot from Connecticut and Eric D from Florida, I think. Now yours from Louisiana

There are supposed to be a few Hooded Mergansers around here but I've never seen one. Great shot, thanks for posting it.
