Leaf Hoppers, Frog Hoppers, Spittle Bugs, they go by various names. I shoot these every year and they never disappoint on cuteness.

All handheld on the 5Dsr, Canon MP-E 65mm and Yongnuo YN24 EX twin head flash and homemade diffusion.

Yeah, they secrete that spittle type substance and encase themselves inside as protection I suppose. Lovely wee critters for all that.

Aye, it's a decent Macro combination. Not sure if I'm 100% happy with the diffusion so might tweek it a bit yet.
