Horned Grebe

[exkalibur]

A couple of Horned Grebes took over our pond. No Complaints here since it gives me an opportunity to practice with my newly acquired 100-400 lens.

Beautiful shot and beautiful Grebe. Viewed this at the larger size on flickr, fine shot and good work. Also love the ripples in the water and the colours in the Grebe. Excellent and the eye is bang on.

All the best and congrats on the new lens.

Danny.

Wow! I like the horn. I haven't seen one of this before. Excellent shot...I like the water shot too -- it is not milky.

Great shot! I was just out photographing these guys. They are really nice birds but with a bit creepy eyes.

Nice shots. We get them down here in the winter but we don't get to see them in breeding colors like this.
