Just got back from a trip through California and Arizona. This picture is from Horseshoe Bend, near Page, Arizona.

I really liked this spot. I stayed for a couple of hours and read my book and played with my dog. Turned out to be a good thing I did because the sun finally came through the clouds.

I've seen so many iterations of this shot as to wonder there is any space left on cliff's edge to make a shot without being trampled by all the others vying for a shot. It's nice, but this iteration is not particularly spectacular. I would have shot it just as the sun starting breaking through the clouds to get some variation in color..but that's just me. I do not like the sky in the background or the jutting rock in the foreground. Both pull my eye outward instead on inward.
