House photography

My aunt wants me to take some pictures of her house that she's putting up for sale. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or links to tutorials pertaining to this specific area ... I've done architecture, but it's been buildings in the city, nothing on the interior.

The only question I have at the moment is for where to focus. My digital camera only goes up to F8, so I'm hoping that everything is in focus.

A Nikon P90 at f/8 should yield pretty good depth of field (DoF), meaning that almost everything will be within acceptable focus. The small sensor in a point and shoot camera helps achieve this. I would recommend a relatively wide angle and focusing on something about a third of the way into the room (or so) Also, mounting the camera to a small tripod will help to reduce motion blur. I would avoid using the built in flash. You may want to search the forum for threads related to real estate (not architectural) photography.

Shoot on a cloudy day, or late in the evening, so direct sunlight isn't streaming in through the windows creating blown out portions of the image.
