How are filters attached?

some are screwed to the end of your lens...and then others can screw onto these allowing you to have multiple filters
there are also filter systems that attached to your camera and then pieces of filter glass are slid into place, allowing 3-4 filters to be put in. Cokin makes a good system

Some lenses have drop in filters as well near the back of the lens when they don't have filters made for the big size of the glass.

Eh... these guys have no idea what they're talking about. Personally, I use duct-tape.
Nah. I use electrical tape......save the duct tape for the lens hoods. :mrgreen:
