You need to sell more stuff.

I'd keep the camera and start taking pictures for a few friends at $50 a session as soon as you're out of the hospital. 9 sessions and you've got $450. Use the extra $35 for CD's to put the photos on.

By the way...It's not a good idea to let potential buyers know you are in a finacial bind. They can use that to get you to lower your price.

Needing to sell quickly also hurts your barganing position.

Plus, you have yet another problem.

People can buy a brand new D3000, with a full 1 year warranty, user's manual, 18-55 mm auto focus lens, nice shiny Nikon box, etc, on Amazon for $429.99. Used start at $329.99.

You'll need to find a real sucker to get $415 for your used stuff.
