How Cold is the Gulf Of Mexico???

My wife at the beach today.The kids however had no problem jumping in the water though.Seeing as how it was the first time the kids had seen the ocean I cant blame them,I would have too!!!
will post some of the good ones in general when I get back home.

Ah, that first is such a fun photo. Makes me smile. Good one. Funny moment. I really enjoy this. And the blue-ness of the sea! Wow. Lovely.

The only time I have ever been in Gulf water was in August 1998 and I hoped for some refreshment from the general heat (on the long beach on Padre Island off Corpus Christi) and was so disappointed at the "bathtub temps" of the Gulf THEN.
We never tested the waters in February/March of 1995 when we were there first, I think. Or did we when we were in Biloxi? I don't remember. I do remember that we were on the beach that night, that much is true. And we hopped in and out of the sea when we visited the Keys, but that was more Altantic Ocean water than Gulf water...
