So I've been doing a research of my own, so since you've all been so helpful I wanted to add some stuff I found. Basically, like most of you said, LESS IS ALWAYS BETTER. Keeping your website (portfolio) minimalistic and simple so your readers/viewers focus on the images, rather than flashy banners and templates. For example, I was thinking to hire a good web designer but after all the advice I've read (on the forum and online) I realized that a website builder that has customized templates for photographers will do just fine, right?

In one article I've read a suggestion from Viviane Moos :"Don’t put a little bit of everything in the portfolio. You DON’T NEED to show you can do everything, because trust me, you can’t do everything well enough to include in your portfolio, unless your name is Irving Penn. ", which I think many newbies (like myself

) don't consider when creating their first portfolio. Many of them (us) think that they must "show off" which is definitely a wrong point of view.

In order not to make this post to long, I am sharing with you the source I liked the most, regarding tips from well established photographers for creating a photography portfolio and I would love to expand this topic even more and find out more small, but always useful tips&tricks, or even more important - common mistakes to avoid!
