how do ya get the who quoted when you quote?

i always just get the little box indicating that the words are being quoted, but not the quotee. how exactly does one get the credit for the quote to show when you quote?

I just hit "quote". It includes your name.

if you don't use the quote button you can use:

HEY!!! I've noticed that on my posts, too! I highlight then hit Quote. And I get the quote box, but never who I am quoting.

Am I doing it backasswards? :scratch:

I highlight and delete the bits i don't want. You don't have to highlight anything otherwise.
Does that make sense?

No you can't do it like that. The browser can't transfer what you've highlighted into a quote.

You'll have to either use the quote button and delete what you don't want there or copy and paste into the

tag.

BTW, the quote button being mentioned is the one on the post itself, which you use instead of the reply button.

K, that's what I wasn't doing....I hit the Quote button up there with the rest of the icons.
