It solves the problem by not allowing people to steal your work. Good job.

However, it generates the problem of not allowing people to see your work at all. Which is kind of counterproductive for the OP... And by "kind of" I mean "extremely."

You have to watch the testing subforum really really really closely to get a fast glimpse of gryph's stuff ;)

I looked at my camera and can enter copyright data, but it would be nice to protect my photo's but being right click saved and strangers out in cyber world checking my exif data. I do not put a location in my camera for privacy. I think on facebook, if you right click save a photo, you cannot see the exif data, or at least the program I am using you cannot. I like to see exif data from time to time for ideas...so i am guilty as charged ;) I don't mind sharing my exif data on here, because i am here to learn :)

Not necessarily is it counterproductive. If you are one of the people that I invite to look at my work you have full access.

One thing I have observed with the dawning of the online and now digital age. Newbies and the relatively new seem to feel that if they took it the entire world wants to see it. Flickr, Webshots etc are perfect examples. Problem is, if you want to throw it out there then someone can take it and at least for me, I am not really all that interested in searching through all of it.

Any photo you take is technically already under your copyright.

I knew that from research I read about it online today. I would like to start by entering copyright info into my camera so that it shows on my exif data.

EXIF data can be re-written, and/or stripped entirely.

Most uploading software lets you write metadata templates. The EXIF fields are used by the camera. We can also use the IPTC data fields in the metadata.

Thank you! I knew it could be re-written just didn't know how.

Except in Canada?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought copyrights in Europe belongs to the person writing the check.
