Hi everyone,
Asking for some advice on how to light this photo from Leslie Zhang.
IMAGE: Zhang JiaCheng on Instagram: “Vogue China Feb cover story with @maisonvalentino @heconghc @linazhanglina styling @yuhang_yao makeup @yooyokeongming hair…” (second on the carousel)
Seems like to me:
1. Subjects have to be far enough from the backdrop for the black background
2. Light has to be high up (how the shadows fall on the ground) and decently hard (to cast pretty well defined shadows). If so, what kind of modifier was used here?
3. Light also has to be strong enough to spill back onto the backdrop and create a controlled gradient (Flags?)
Any insight would be much appreciated. Thank you!
