I was outside trying "fill light" today. I wanted to see how it would work with the sun behind the subjects so I brought my wife out and then saw my neighbor running to his car so grabbed them for my test.

How is the exposure?

First off: I want that lens you got, whats the aperture like on one of those bad boys?
Second, I like them, good lightin you can see them clearly no reflections or blown areas. Good shots IMO. Second one though if the guy wasn't squinting I think it may have taken some away from the photo but it looks like he's just smiling?

they are exposed nicely, but it bothers me that you are looking up at them. Its just weird in my opinion.

Thanks guys, yes the point was to get the sun bedhind them so I had to be below since it was 1pm. The trick was to get them exposed w/out using flash or any reflectors and at the same time, not overexpose the background. Just practicing from reading a book.

Oh and yeah, my pic of my neighbor, he was talking and laughing so it was just a quick shot. He was on his way to the hospital though cuz some family member was in the ICU and I didn't wanna take too much of his time.

The lens is 16-35 2.8L but these were taken at f4
