How much do you guys use your Ultra Wide Angle lenses? I am getting bored of mine..

16-35? On crop wouldn't you want something wider, say. Canon 10-22 or, if you want 2.8, tokina 11-16?

A 10-22mm is part of my toolkit. The times I use are: indoor shots where I want things to look spacious, indoor shots where I have very little room to manoeuvre, outdoors shots when I need the expanse of space, outdoor shots when I need to separate close foreground from background, and shots where the distortion provides some kind of compositional effect. Generally for outdoor shots, I place the horizon at center and then vertical lines stay vertical. In post, I then crop as needed to get rid of dead space.

Used my 10-20 maybe for 50 shots, didn't like it, sold it, and got a 17-70 and use it as my walk around lens. Never really saw a use for the extra wide lens.

It's the same as any other focal length: You use it to get the shot you want. You can't get the same perspective from a 24mm lens as you can from a 14mm. The same can be said for telephotos or even standard focal lengths.

hmm it's funny because I literally just recommended some wide angle lenses on another thread. To be honest though, I used to love that UWA angle, especially on vacation trips, but nowadays I shoot a panorama instead. I'm finally going full frame (shooting film now to hold me over while I wait for my D800 to ship), and I find that "24" on my 24-70 is wide enough.

Now I'm a lot more interested in the short telephoto range, say 70-105mm or so, but I'm also shooting a lot more people and portraits than I ever was before when I was just camera-on-vacation guy.

Edit: I also used to be into long telephoto stuff too, 70-200/100-300/70-300 lenses when I shot sports. I didn't even buy a telephoto to use with my D800, my longest lens will be my 105mm, amazing how things change.
