How to get Pictures to Look like this?

I dont get whats so special about that picture ... ?

Looks like it was taken with a long lens, say 200mm or more.

Out of curiosity, what do you see that makes you think that?

Compression of the stop lights (a block apart, I'm guessing) and shallow DOF.

Add a narrow FOV .

You take a picture like that by walking outside at night and drunkenly waving the camera in the general direction of an alleyway and hitting the shutter button.
And then jacking up the saturation too high in photoshop while you are hungover the next day.
